The Christmas Tree Project is a local organization that collects artificial Christmas trees, lights (dead or alive), tree stands (need a bunch), ornaments, tinsel, Christmas decorations/decor, toys, stuffed animals, games, etc., to be distributed to those in the community who cannot afford to have the Christmas spirit in their homes. St. Francis collects items for three weeks in November/early December to support The Project for the give-away the second weekend in December. (Not to be confused with the Christmas Giving Tree. Giving Tree collections on upper floor of Church; The Project on lower level.)
